Dr Ilaria Rodella

Ilaria Rodella obtained her PhD in Earth Sciences in 2015, specialising in coastal geomorphology, erosion management, remediation methods, and the reuse of contaminated sediments. She has served as an external consultant to Italian ministries on the implementation of major European environmental and agri-food directives. Ilaria is a Senior Research Advisor and an expert in EU funding with over 15 years of experience in writing proposals, designing projects, and managing initiatives within FP7, Horizon 2020, and Horizon Europe programmes. She has supported more than 220 proposals—including MSCA Postdoctoral and Doctoral Networks, ERC, and collaborative projects—and contributed to large-scale funded programmes (e.g., MSCA-COFUND UNIPhD and Cluster projects worth over €5 million). She also sits on evaluation committees and has previously acted as an evaluator for various international institutions and agencies.
