Prof Rita Deiana

Rita Deiana is a Civil Engineer, Full Professor of Applied Geophysics at the Department of Cultural Heritage, and, since 2017, Director of the Interdepartmental Centre for Cultural Heritage (CIBA) at the University of Padova. Since 2012, her research has focused on complex systems, using geophysical measurements for archaeological prospecting and subsoil analysis, as well as non-invasive methods for Cultural Heritage and Civil Engineering applications. Author of more than 100 papers in scientific peer-reviewed journals, she collaborates with national and international public and private entities in multidisciplinary research and teaches at the University of Padova in the bachelor's and master's degrees for Archaeologists and in the master's degree in Geophysics for Natural Risks and Resources.
