Doctor Gwénola Michaud

Gwénola holds a MSc in Geophysics from Ecole et Observatoire de la Terre of Strasbourg (France) and a Ph.D. in Geophysics from Colorado School of Mines (USA), sponsored by CGG.

She has worked in the Oil & Gas Industry since 1998 on reservoir characterization and surveillance, time-lapse analysis, multi-component borehole data and passive seismic data. She led for Schlumberger several teams and projects in algorithm & software development with their commercialization for passive seismic, electromagnetic, gravity and their integration with seismic data modeling and joint inversion in UK, Japan and Italy.

Since 2020, as a freelance consultant under Geosciences and Monitoring Consulting, she has worked for the Norwegian start-up Cognite, the Houston-based OSDU consortium and the Italian company ISAMGEO.

Member of EAGE since 1998, she has been Chief Editor of the EAGE First Break since June 2021. As a certified professional coach from Institut de Coaching International of Geneva, Gwenola has co-developed a coaching program available on the EAGE platform, and contributes to coaching sessions for Place Network, European project for economic growth and resilient societies.
