Prof Santiago Pindado Carrion
Santiago Pindado, MS degree (1995) and Ph.D. (2003) in Aerospace Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM - Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) in Spain, is Professor at UPM since 2003.
Prof. Pindado worked for SENER from 1996 to 1999, being involved in aerodynamics and fluid mechanics simulations. In 1999 he started his doctoral studies in experimental and civil aerodynamics, at the IDR/UPM research institute under the supervision of Prof. José Meseguer.
In 2008, Prof. Pindado became responsible for the development of the UPMSat-2 power subsystem, as one of his tasks within IDR/UPM research programs. Additionally, he has held different executive positions at UPM as IDR/UPM Deputy Director, Head of Studies of the UPM Master Program in Space Systems, or Technical Director of the LAC-IDR/UPM calibration lab.
Prof. Pindado teaches several subjects related to power systems (from airports power networks to satellites power subsystems) at the Aerospace Eng. Faculty of UPM, and has published numerous publications regarding a wide scope of academic/research subjects such as spacecraft power and control subsystems, power networks, lighting quality, experimental aerodynamics, and performance of wind speed measurement instruments.
