Dr Marija Bertovic holds a degree in psychology from the University of Rijeka and a PhD from the Technical University of Berlin. She has more than 15 years of experience in the study of human factors and their impact on the reliability of non-destructive testing. For her work, she received a scientific award from the German Society for Non-Destructive Testing (DGZfP) in 2018. She currently works at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM), where she is involved in research and standardisation and chairs two committees ("NDT Reliability" within the International Committee for Non-Destructive Testing/ICNDT and "Human-Machine Interaction" within the DGZfP).
