Dr Media Khorasani

Dr. Media Khorasani is an Equal Opportunity Officer at BAM (Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing) in Berlin, where she promotes and advocates gender equality, diversity, and inclusion within the organization. Originally from Iran, she moved to Germany to pursue a Master's degree in polymer science. She earned her PhD in materials engineering at BAM, specializing in nanomaterial development. After her first postdoc, he desire to explore new disciplines and environments, led to a  transition from her traditional research path to the dynamic field of data science and machine learning. Joining the eScience team in BAM, she collaborated in several projects to develop AI solutions for material development and quality infrastructure . Recognized for her dedication to promoting a diverse and inclusive work culture, she was elected as the Equal Opportunity Officer, a position she now holds full-time.
